Make sure you stay hydrated with water. When you don’t have enough water in your system, you can experience a host of uncomfortable conditions, such as dry mouth, headaches, body aches, and fatigue. Dry mouth occurs when saliva production in the mouth drastically decreases. Saliva plays a crucial role in your oral health because it helps wash away food particles and harmful bacteria. Decreased saliva production will result in an unpleasant odor in the mouth from lingering food debris and bacteria. Saliva also remineralizes tooth enamel to fortify teeth against decay. Opt for water whenever possible instead of coffee, tea, soda, and juice.
Good oral hygiene is essential for maintaining fresh breath! Brush twice a day for two minutes each session with a soft-bristled toothbrush and fluoridated toothpaste. Remember to thoroughly brush your tongue too!
